Keep Square if the deposit and the ticket already live there
Square Appointments is a real calendar and a real checkout for a lot of shops. If your team already knows where the deposit sits and how it hits the ticket, do not rip that out to satisfy a blog post. A nail salon deposit is a policy: which services, what amount, applied to the service. That policy can stay enforced where you already enforce it.

The first hole is Google. Guests find the salon on Maps and look for Book Online, not for a link buried on a site. That button is Reserve with Google.
